Christmas Vignette: Winter Village Jars

November 30, 2017

Iiiiiiiiiiii'm dreaming of a whiiiite Christmaaaas... (singing this for you)

And since I won't see one in Georgia, I gaze at this cute, snowy winter village vignette everyday instead and imagine little deer hanging out in the snow next to disproportionate houses and evergreen trees. : )  Juuust kidding, these guys are really cute and this vignette is really easy to do! There's not much to explain, but I can at least tell you where I bought each element, so here's the supply list:

  • Elevated apothecary Jar - Michael's

  • Tall & medium size vase (already had)

  • Smaller Jar with lid - Michael's (mine happens to be sitting on a glass candle holder I already had)

  • Larger white ceramic houses - Target 2016; Hobby Lobby also sells wooden houses around this size near the dollhouse/modeling section and you could simply paint them white

  • Assorted size Christmas village trees - Michael's

  • Mini deer figurines - Michael's

  • 2 tiny houses - these are ornaments from Michael's, made of cardboard/paper product

  • Mercury glass votives - Target 2016 in the $1 section

  • Snow - Michael's

  • 3-bulb village light strand to light the houses - Amazon

This is a really simple project to do and can be used on a desk, buffet server, fireplace mantle, foyer table, etc. It can also make a really pretty Christmas table scape if rearranged correctly! Below are a few more detail shots of the vignette. (These make me smile) : )

Happy Holiday decorating everyone!
